Featuring shelves, integrated lights and electronic displays, our sturdy Pick/Put-to-Light (PTL) trolleys are a super easy and practical way of boosting speed and accuracy in your picking and/or sorting operations. Behind the scenes, intelligent BOWE IQ software orchestrates the workflow by controlling the lights and displays on the trolleys, guiding workers visually to the correct tote-box.
A closer look
The large egg-shaped electronic lights are easy to spot from a distance and correspond clearly to each tote-box. Each worker can be assigned a different coloured light, enabling multiple orders to be picked/sorted simultaneously.
Electronic displays provide additional information, such as the quantity of items to pick or any special instructions. Built with exceptional durability and a snap-on design, the displays can be installed and exchanged quickly and effortlessly, without the need for tools. Changing the layout and size of picking locations and sorting areas is therefore a straightforward task.
Once an item has been picked or put away, the worker confirms the action by pressing a button or scanning a barcode. The light switches off. Alternatively, a sensor can be added to automatically detect the picking or sorting action.
Put, Wall, Pack, Ship
When used in a Putwall system, our PTL trolleys make for even faster fulfilment. Products are picked in batches and transported—by conveyor or on mobile picking carts, for example—to the Putwall where they are scanned. Lights indicate into which cubbies the items need to be dropped.
Different lights, often placed on the other side of the Putwall, indicate when a cubby is complete and ready for packing or collection. Displays can also include information on box size, order/customer number, or any specific customer requirements. In short: smarter sorting, faster packing, happier customers.

While our Pick/Put-to-Light trolleys can be purchased as a standalone product, they prove especially effective when deployed together with our BOWE IQ DataStations.
With BOWE IQ software continually coordinating the workflow, the DataStation weighs, scans, labels, and logs items onto the PTL system in a matter of seconds. This information then activates the corresponding lights and displays on the PTL trolleys, guiding workers directly to the correct tote box. Together, they deliver a powerful combination that streamlines operations and drives productivity to new levels.
